The Federal Election Commission (FEC) tracks the origin of all donations to politicians. Follow Your Money gives these donations meaning by tying products and brands to the companies that make those donations. The FEC provides data for every individual contribution from a company-sponsored Political Action Committee (PAC) to other PACs as well as to specific candidates. Follow Your Money recursively aggregates this data to determine the amount each PAC ultimately contributes to each political party. Our database is updated every Monday from the FEC and contains records from 1980 - Present.
